Ignoring red lights is not only a small violation, it is a serious crime that endangers human life and can result in disastrous mishaps. It is a serious disobedience of traffic signals and warrants a red light jump ticket.

In particular, disobeying the stop signal is the offense for which this challan acts as a formal notification and penalty. Red light jumping has consequences beyond only imposing a financial penalty, challan also stresses how crucial it is to follow traffic laws in order to maintain public safety.

What happens when you jump a Red Light?

Encounter with Traffic Police: Be prepared for your vehicle to be pulled over by the on-duty traffic cops standing at the crossroads. To handle your misconduct, they will stop you.

  • Checking Documentation: Prepare to provide your driver’s license, proof of vehicle registration, a current two-wheeler insurance policy that covers third-party liability at the very least, and the Pollution Under Control (PUC) Certificate, among other necessary documentation. • Additional Penalties: If you are unable to provide any of the needed documentation, additional fines and penalties may apply. For example, making sure your motor insurance coverage is valid and timely updating your bike insurance can spare you unnecessary hassles.
